Project: Collagraph is a basic a method of printmaking using a board with collage materials glued onto it to form a relief surface with a variety of textures. It's a very creative and experimental form of printmaking, collagraph prints can be made with many different materials, including cardboard, yarn, fabric, leaves, masking tape and more.  😱
With collagraph printmaking, we need to remember that to create our details, we will need to build them with our materials instead of just drawing them on. If we just draw them with a pencil, we won't see those pencil details when we go to pull a print. However, if we use our materials to create that detail and then attach it, we will see it when we pull our print!
For our collagraph, we are going to create burgers! We are going to focus on overlapping elements with our ingredients stacked between our burger buns. Overlapping elements means placing objects over one another to create the illusion of depth!
Happy art makin’, artists!!!
MATERIALS: Cardboard (like from a cereal box), pencil, glue, scissors, crayons or colored pencil work best.

I CAN create a collagraph of a burger using cardboard.
I CAN show OVERLAPPING elements with the ingredients of my burger to create dimension.
I CAN pull three different colored prints from my collagraph to create a triptych (three pieces displayed together)
