Howdy, artists! My name is Ms. Gaunt, but the kids call me Ms. G 'round these parts. 🤠 ...though I’m a soon-to-be (Creative) House — hence the name 😉💍 as well as my teaching art studio now resides in my home for the time-being!
We are a team over here at Creative House Classroom: while you’ll mostly see my face on screen, you might also spot some other faces in our videos too... My fiancé, Mr. House (Michael), helps to film & edit these videos to bring them to life. He also grabs the reigns with photos, social media, and of course... THE BIG IDEAS! Together, we have two cats (Lynx and Madeline) & a dog (Emmylou) who are still learning to use supplies correctly, but love their on-air time.
As an elementary art teacher, I am creating these "at-home tutorials" in our "online art classroom" for my students during our switch to digital learning due to the circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 virus. I decided that these videos should be welcomed into the homes of not just my students... but to children and adults alike wherever they may be!
These at-home lessons are primarily centered around remembering that art is all around us: we can make art out of anything, and we can use whatever we have to make it. 🎨🖍✂️ If you don't have certain supplies listed, you can just use what you have. I am happy to also offer suggestions. These are adaptable. During these times of staying safe at home, you will learn to make masterpieces from your surroundings.
Remember... you ARE an artist. You CAN create art.
So get ready, artists!
Grab your supplies,
get set, and
GOOO CREATE! ✨
